This one covers a LOT of ground. It's the 80s synth you hear in the movies, but it goes beyond that too. I'm going to write down details on what each macro does and how to get more functionality out of them, because this is practically 3 patches in one. The notes look like a lot and if you don't know your way around a synth, I highly recommend ignoring them and just playing around with the patch!

Macro 1: Env 1 Macro controls... Envelope 1. It's just an easy way to go from a plucky sound to pad-y sound.

Macro 2: Cutoff Macro controls... Cutoff. This one's a little more complicated and I'll get into detail why later. The simple version is that it acts as an easily controllable low pass filter.

Macro 3: Bass Macro turns on Oscillator 3 and reduces the volume of Oscillator 2. Osc 3 is a slightly altered triangle that's an octave lower. I really like how this sounds when it's a little plucky.

Macro 4: Mono. So this one's really two different Macros smashed together. From 0-20, it'll turn the synth from Poly to Mono, but then 50-100, it adds glide. This works great with the Macro 3, because you can go from polyphonic pad, to a plucky monophonic bassline.

Mod Wheel: This is probably the most compact of them all. This controls volume, cutoff and vibrato. The pad side of Macro 1 doesn't have a long release because the patch is made assuming that you'll want to manually reduce the volume using the Mod Wheel. This gives you finer control than Envelope 1 and it sounds more movie-esque to me. Mod Wheel has it's own cutoff control because... I don't know it just sounds more like the movies I remember. You can use Macro 2 to control how bright the Mod Wheel can get, so you still have control of the cutoff separately from the Mod wheel in a way.

How to get more precision from the Mod Wheel:

If you want to turn off vibrato, bypass LFO 1 Smooth time and Mod 1 from the Mod Wheel. If you want to turn off the volume control, bypass volume from the Mod Wheel and also raise the master volume up (top right of the synth) to however loud you like it. And if you don't want the cutoff, bypass Filter 1 Cutoff, and reset the horizontal slider on Filter 1.

If you need help or you use this preset in one of your tracks, let me know!
